Dennis spent 39 years with the U.S.D.A Forest Service serving as the Region 5 Aviation Officer representing California and the Pacific Islands. Dennis’s career with the Forest Service consisted of numerous assignments as a Fire Chief at the district, forest, and regional levels. During his tenure, he also held positions as the Incident Commander and the Air Operations Branch Director. Since leaving the Forest Service, he has served as a senior advisor to Coulson Aviation, the leader in providing fire suppression aircraft services in several countries around the world. Dennis is seen as a leading authority in the field of aerial fire suppression. In 2012, Dennis assembled a team of subject matter experts and was contracted by the US Forest Service to provide a comprehensive study on the future of Aerial Firefighting which serves as the benchmark for the agency’s present fleet. Dennis also serves as a board advisor for UC Davis in Senior Level Aviation Management and Emergency Services and is also an international speaker and instructor on the topics of Aerial Attack and Wildland Fire Suppression.
