FR-200 is our first generation aerial liquid concentrate long-term retardant, with a low viscosity rating and fugitive coloring. FR-200 has successfully completed all of the required US Forest Service Laboratory tests for fire retardancy effectiveness, toxicity, anti-corrosion, stability, and viscosity. An operational field evaluation (OFE) is scheduled for the 2021 fire season and will be the final step in obtaining USFS certification.
FR-200 features our unique magnesium chloride formulation, which means that it's more effective, safer for the environment, and more durable than conventional, fertilizer-based retardants.
Exceeded performance standards on every official USFS lab test.
Designed for wet concentrate storage and wet base operations.
Engineered for stronger fire barriers and superior fire control. Qualified for use with large airtankers, Very Large Air Tankers (VLATs), Single Engine Air Tankers (SEATS), and helicopters.
Gum-thickened low viscosity for improved drop characteristics.
Visible coloring fades over time when exposed to sunlight.
Self-hydrating when humidity exceeds 35%, enabling better fuel coverage, more effective fire suppression, and extended durability.
Not a fertilizer, does not contribute to the growth of flammable vegetation or freshwater eutrophication, does not contain any biocides, and is significantly less toxic to fish.
Corrosion inhibitor package minimizes corrosion on steel, brass and aluminum, making it safe for use around steel utility infrastructure.
